Exceptional vocalist Sam Black takes you on a musical journey covering hits from the 60s right up to present day. And, the beauty of CoverStar is that when you hire the band, YOU choose the songs they perform! With a carefully crafted repertoire that includes dance floor fillers from the Kings of Leon, Katy Perry and The Killers, the band also include popular hits from Take That, The Jacksons, ABBA and many more.

DJ Option
Because CoverStar want you to have the whole night's entertainment sorted when you hire them as standard, the band offers a FREE DJ option that runs when the band are not performing. The DJ option is performed by a member of the group operating a laptop with the most current DJ mixing software and quite literally 1000s of party classics on hand to keep the party jumping! The benefits of this service are that your guests are able to make requests for the DJ to play, and with the DJ being a member of the band and sharing their equipment, the space utilised at the venue is kept to a minimum... and so looks very tidy.

What Line-up Choices do I have?
As standard, CoverStar is a 5 piece band made up of Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keyboards.

How much do CoverStar Cost?
CoverStar pride themselves on offering a professional, tailor made package to suit your event at a hugely competitive price. The starting fee for the 5 Piece line-up is £995.00 for local events (i.e. the Sussex Area).

Can I see Cover Star performing anywhere?
Whilst the majority of CoverStar's work is private (for example, Weddings, Corporate Events and Private Parties) the guys do try to arrange Showcase events throughout the year. However, this does depend on how full their calendar is. But, feel free to ask and we can let you know when the next one is.

Can I choose the songs the band play?
Absolutely! CoverStar are happy to discuss with you any tracks you would like them to perform and also any you do not want them to play. Obviously, the guys have years of experience at filling dance floors and so some things are left to their experienced judgement, but they are more than happy to chat through your suggestions and tailor their set just for you.

What happens when CoverStar are not playing?
The guys are happy to provide pre-recorded music between, before and after their sets FREE. The music is made up of fantastic party hits from the last 5 decades and is mixed professionally via DJ software. Also, the guys are able to offer a FREE DJ Option. Or, If you would rather have complete control of the music played when the guys are not performing then they are also happy for you play your own CD or iPod through their PA system. The choice is entirely yours...

What kind of equipment do CoverStar use?
As one of the UKs forerunning Corporate Bands, CoverStar need to ensure that they use only the best equipment. With varying sizes of PA available to them the guys can perform to crowds of 50 or less to quite literally thousands. As standard, and easily covering 100 - 200 guests, CoverStar utilise a 1.4 KW PA System with stylish Lighting. Individual band members pride themselves on top notch equipment and favour high quality brands such as Fender, Gibson, Pearl, Marshall and many more.

How much room does CoverStar need?
CoverStar do not need acres of space, however, these guys have played the biggest venues in the country so the bigger the stage, the better the show. We recommend at least a 5m x 4m performance area for the 5 piece line-up, but the guys can work to smaller areas if they need to. PLEASE REMEMBER... CoverStar are a very visual group of entertainers and perform to the best of their ability if they have adequate stage or space. These guys don’t stand still!

How long do CoverStar play for?
As standard the band performs 2 x 60 or 3 x 40 minute sets of music. However, for an additional cost this can be augmented to suit your event.

Do CoverStar have any other requirements?
In order to perform at their best the band require soft drinks, and a selection of sandwiches or a hot meal for 5 people at least an hour before they are due to play on stage. CoverStar will also require plenty of bottled water. The band will also need a room to prepare for the performance and adequate parking.

Hello Matt, I would just like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for all your hard work which you and your staff put in during the run up and on the 20th June itself.
