Rob Stone (Guitar and Vocals) - Rob is an accomplished singer with a unique voice and also a versatile guitar player. He has been actively playing live for around ten years in a number of original bands, covers outfits and even solo, and has entertained many venues, from tiny pubs to the 'V festival'. Rob is also an accomplished producer and programmer with an extensive technical knowledge of music editing software. As the vibrant frontman of The Hype Rob never fails to entertain the crowds!!
Rob Shaw (Drums and Vocals) - Rob is an exciting and versatile drummer with a wealth of live experience playing in all styles ranging from Motown to Metal! He has performed with some of Britain's most talented up and coming acts from the biggest record labels around. Having played on the same stages as top recording artists like Duffy, Justin Timberlake, Metallica, Bob Dylan and Feeder, he has proven his skills at some of the countries most notorious and respected venues. Rob loves what he does and he wants to come and entertain you!
Jonathan Dear (Bass and Vocals) - Jonathan dear is a classically trained multi instrumentalist with a large amount of recording and performance experience within a large range of musical genres from free jazz to metal. From a young age he was performing recitals and competing in prestigious London music festivals winning a number of awards. Jonathan has experience sessioning for a number of artists and bands in the south east of England such as accompanying prize winning ensembles, performing and recording singles and music videos with previous TVT signed act 'A Cult Called Karrianna' and has worked with Polydor managed act Andrew Gray. Jonathan has gigged extensively in the south of England within venues such as the Islington Academy performing alongside members from bands such as 'Go Audio', 'Tonight is Goodbye' and 'Snow Patrol' as well as performing in pit bands for musicals, including Les Miserables and Godspell.
Because The Hype are a 3 piece band they are ideal for venues with smaller performance areas or those on a tighter budget - but, who do not want to compromise on quality!

The Hype - Additional Information
Wedding Package: Because The Hype realise that every Wedding is different they are happy to build a bespoke package just for you. This has proven extremely popular with many couples and could include:
Earlier Set-Up - to avoid disturbing the ambience if everything is taking place in the same room
Late Finish - whilst most venues are licensed until midnight, The Hype realise that some are fine to continue the celebrations until 1am or 2am.
Personalised Set-List - the guys are happy to build their set-list to ensure that only the songs you want to hear will be performed at your Wedding
First Dance - wherever possible, The Hype will learn your first dance song providing enough prior notice is given and the song is within the style of the band. If this is not possible The Hype would be happy to play your first dance via their PA / DJ equipment
DJ service - to help minimise costs The Hype are able to provide a DJ option (with PA and lighting) to ensure that when they aren't performing the party will carry on! This means that requests can be taken from the 1000's of song choices that the guys will have available
Additional Sets - The Hype are happy to perform for 2 x 60 minutes, 2 x 45 minutes or 3 x 40 minutes as standard. However, they may extend this and add extra sets or longer lengths, i.e. 2 x 70 minute sets, where required

Dear Tracey, Sorry its taken a while to get back to you, here is our review. The Hype absolutely set our wedding alight with their music, a brilliant mix of classic Wedding Rock (Mustang Sally) through to modern Indy Classics like Sex on Fire. The three guys were patient and polite waiting for our caterers to clear out and were worth the wait. Every single guest who could move (and some who couldn't) got on the dancefloor and the band were universally praised by our guests including several 'cool' teenagers. Highly highly recommended. Hi Matt, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, we have only just got back from our honeymoon! Just wanted to to say a HUGE thanks for helping us to find The Hype to play at our wedding! They were outstanding! My main worry in all of the wedding planning was that the dance floor would be empty and that the evening reception would be a bit of a disappointment. There was no chance of that though, and I'm sure that it was all down to the band. They had such amazing energy, were so friendly and completly professional. They didn't mind when I (the bride) and some friends stormed the stage to take over the mic for a number of songs! Fortunately I think they were quick enough to mute our mic, and left Rob to do the singing, but they happily left us to hold the mic regardless! One of the top memories of the night was when bride and groom took to the mic to sing the whole of 'Sex on Fire', we will always remember that! All of our guests were asking where we found them and who they were, everyone was very impressed. Nobody wanted the night to end and the guys were really patient with us and did respond to the endless shouts for MORE! All of the staff at the venue commented that they had never seen such a lively evening do! If anyone wants to be sure the dancefloor is packed all night I would HIGHLY recommend The Hype. Thanks so much to the guys, they were champions!

We were probably a little more 'interactive' with the band than should have been in the second half but the band were great. The music was great varied and every song played perfect to the original but with energy and a nice slant - they added there own style. In fact a friend of mine who was here wanted to book them for his wedding there and then (unfortunately the guys were busy). The guys were extremely polite and professional and genuinely nice guys. My own negative comment is that they are too good looking and nearly stole our girlfriends!! (hehe). Please make sure this gets through to them all with a massive thanks. Morning Matt. What can I say? The guys were FANTASTIC! Honestly, we had so many people come up to us to ask where we found them. The boys were polite, courteous, discreet when setting up, and really really nice guys. They played phenomenally well, we were absolutely blown away, they sounded incredible and I’ve never seen our friends and family hit the dancefloor with such gusto – the guys got the place rocking and had exactly the right balance of music at the right time. They sounded amazing, can really sing – why haven’t they been signed up for a label????? Definitely a boy band for the future it was a pleasure to have them part of our wedding. Even their rapport in between songs / requests etc, was spot on – they are so confident, and they had taken so much time and effort before the wedding to rehearse new songs and ideas (ie the hokey kokey, which went down a storm after copious bottles of vino!).
